Meowgic LLC (“Meowgic”, “we”, “us”) builds apps for pets, pet parents and breeders, including Calfie and Cuddle (together with this website, the “Services”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. For example, your name and email address when you contact us or create an account, and the content you add to our apps — such as photos, pet profiles, pedigrees, litter and health records, and notes about prospective families.
Information collected automatically. Basic device and usage information — such as device type, operating system, app version, crash reports and diagnostics — that helps us keep the Services reliable and secure.
Camera, photos and microphone. Calfie asks for camera access to take photos, photo-library access to save them, and microphone access only if you choose to record custom sounds. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve the Services.
- To sync and back up your content, if you choose to use those features.
- To respond to support requests and send you important updates about the Services.
- To protect the security and integrity of the Services and to comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos or records for advertising.
How we share information
We share information only:
- With service providers that help us operate the Services (such as hosting, analytics and crash reporting), under agreements that limit how they can use it.
- When you choose to share content — for example, sending a kitten update to a family.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Meowgic, our users or others.
- As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as we need it to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. When you delete content or your account, we delete or anonymize the related data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep it by law.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@meowgic.io. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.
International users
Meowgic is based in the United States. If you use the Services from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above. If the changes are significant, we will let you know in advance.
